As pastor of Valley View Baptist Church I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website and invite you to join us for worship. I preached my first service at Valley View Baptist on Sunday June 16th 2013. I praise the Lord for 3 precious people who were truly seeking the will of the Lord. Bro. Lenny & Sis. Reba Viverito with Bro. Wayne Worley wanted the Lord's will for Valley View and allowed myself with over 100 people who did not have a church home to join their congregation. The church is a true gift from the Lord. We are completely debt free and now in position to do some serious outreach for the Lord. Many churches have abandoned outreach and the ministries required to win others to Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that we must go out and get them and not wait on them to come to us. (Luke 14:23 & Mark 16:15) Many today believe this is foolish and a waste of money but we at Valley View Baptist Church believe that we are fulfilling the commandment of our Lord and Saviour thru many forms of outreach. We also still believe in strong doctrinal preaching. Again, many churches want preaching that will tickle their ears and make them feel good (2 Tim. 4:3-4) but we firmly believe in preaching that brings conviction and Biblical change to the lives and attitudes of others. We stand firmly as a King James Bible believing church.
In regards to my personal testimony, I was a church attender/member for the first 24 years of my life but like many "church members" I was religious but lost. One night I attended a revival by Bro. Harold Hunter and he preached a sermon on Hell. I realized my lost condition and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I became a new creature that day and changed from a wolf that was causing problems and discord in the church to a sheep who sought the will of the Great Shepherd. I was then called to preach the Gospel and the Lord directed me to Gulf Coast Bible Institute in Ft. Walton Beach, FL for my Biblical education under Dr. M. H. Tabb. I have now been in some level of ministry for close to 26 years now thanks to the Lord.
We are located directly on Highway 193/Chattanooga Valley Road in Flintstone, GA. Click here if you need specific directions. We have plenty of parking and 10 acres of land for expansion and activities. We are excited about what the Lord is going to do at our church!
